The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed in regards to the high variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider issue produced for intervention activities a superior inflow status sassa of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.

For more information, community members can call toll sassa status free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
